Rhonda Lee Ryane was a nurse aide
Rhonda Lee Ryane (Smith), age 73, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 22, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Rhonda was born on December 29, 1951, in Lima, OH, to Charles and Marilyn Klingler Smith.
Rhonda was a 1970 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley. In her early career she was a beautician, but later became an STNA and worked as a nurse aid in various nursing homes for 30 years. Rhonda was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She had a tradition of making cookies with them every Christmas. She was their biggest fan and attended every concert, game, and competition, and supported them in all of their accomplishments. She also enjoyed watching wrestling, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football.
Rhonda is survived by a sister, Diana Lynn Rowe. Daughters Amy Ryane (Andy Ray) and Kimberly Ryane (Justin Fricke) her bonus kids, Stevhen and Stacey. Her grandchildren, Jasmine, Lance, Lacey, Makenna, Macelyn and Bradey. And 2 great granddaughters, Lainey and Vaelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and Charles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger. It was her wish to be cremated following the visitation.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
