Steve Shepherd, Sr. worked for Rudolph Foods
Steve Shepherd, Sr., age 78, of Alger, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 27, 1946, in David, Kentucky, to the late Aaron and Berta (Moore) Shepherd. On April 29, 1964, Steve married Betty (Patrick) Shepherd, and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2024.
Steve is survived by his two sons: Jimmy Shepherd and Timmy Shepherd both of Alger; three daughters: Wanda (Glenn) Rader of Dunkirk, Carol (Tom) Cochrane of Ada and Vickie (Ulf) Norman of McGuffey; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; a brother, Owen (Phyllis) Shepherd; and four sisters: Geneva Marshall, Marlene Howard, Virginia Shepherd and Mabel Moore.
Also preceding him in death are two sons: Randall Shepherd and Steve Shepherd, Jr., and three brothers and three sisters.
Steve retired from Rudolph Foods, Westminster. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed garage saling. Steve loved his family and spending time with them.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21st at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
