Robert E. “Bob” Klingler worked for Dana Corporation
Robert E. “Bob” Klingler, age 87, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on April 18, 1938, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Keith and Annabelle (Routt) Klingler. On December 18, 1955, Bob married Patricia K. “Pat” (Gilbert) Klingler, and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2022.
Bob is survived by a son, Jim (Cheryl) Klingler of New Philadelphia; two daughters: Deb (Jeff) Fries of Worthington and Lori Klingler of Ada; five grandchildren: Jamie (Ryan) Rieger, Keith (Jess) Klingler, Jaclyn (Stephanie) Harstine, Brittney (Karol) Nawrot, and T.J. ( Jenn) Fries; twelve great grandchildren: Preston, Parker, Peyton, Dean, Ashton, Kennedy, Livy, Max, Ruby, George, Henry, and Eleanor; and two sisters: Martha King of Alger and Mary Paul of LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: William Klingler, George Klingler and Richard Klingler; and a sister, Elsie Mae Klingler.
Bob retired from Dana Corporation, Lima. He served in the National Guard. Bob was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and golfing. He worked hard and played hard. He worked seven days a week when he was not on the golf course. Bob loved playing cards and vacationing. You could always find him mowing the yard. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and attending their events. He was known as Grandpa Faraway and Bob Bob.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with Marty Clum officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20 at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main Street, Ada, Ohio 45810.
