BUCYRUS – The Ada swim teams finished third in a quadrangular meet at Bucyrus against Upper Sandusky, Bucyrus Wynford and Perkins on Tuesday night, January 13.

Perkins swept both team titles, winning the girls meet with 82 points. The Ada girls placed third with 22 points, finishing three points behind second-place Upper Sandusky (25). The Perkins boys won with 59 points. The Bulldog boys placed third with 31 points, trailing Upper Sandusky (42) for second by 11.

Bulldog Jacob Szippl won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke races. Teammate Tim Chrissobolis touched first in the 100 breaststroke to post the other Ada win.

The Perkins girls swim team won every event in the four-team quad hosted by Upper Sandusky as part of their Senior Night.

Perkins ace Hayley Henning won the 50-yard free in a time of 26.91 seconds, while also capturing the 100 butterfly in 1:08.85.

Teammate Ella West added wins in the 100 free (57.60) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.43).  Lo Bucher seized victories in the 200 individual medley (2:28.44) and 500 free (5:56.39).

Sarah West touched first in the 100 backstroke (1:11.31) while Ella Hahn won the 200 free in 2:21.28.

The Perkins boys were led by Max Zess, who won the 200 free (1:57.78) and 500 free (5:20.87).
Brunning O'Malley also touched first in the 50 free (25.84). Preston Miller added a win in the 100 butterfly (1:00.88) while Bennet Hahn took the individual medley in 2:16.36.
