OTTAWA__The Ada High School boys and girls swim teams both finished a solid second at a five-team meet in the Putnam County YMCA at Ottawa on Thursday, January 29.

The Bluffton boys won with 92.5 points, while the Pirate girls finished first with 92. The Pirates won the combined meet over second-place Ada, 184.5-106.5.

The Ada girls scored 56 points to come in second, and the Ada boys also ended up second with 50.5 points.

Junior Jacob Szippl won the boys 100-yard freestyle race to register the lone Bulldog individual first-place finish.

The Ada boys and girls 200 freestyle relay quartets each touched first in their respective races.

The same Bulldog boys foursome of sophomore Grady Morgan, sophomore Thaddeus Smith, senior Kaden Clum and Szippl captured the 400 free relay as well.

Ada swims in a dual meet at Kenton on Tuesday evening, February 3 at the Hardin County YMCA to conclude the regular season.
