Bulldog wrestling results at Van Buren Invite
Riblet 3rd at 126 lbs.

VAN BUREN__The Ada High School wrestling team finished 25th out of 35 teams at the tough two-day Van Buren Invitational on Saturday, January 24.
The Bulldogs scored 32 points at the event, just one point behind Ottawa-Glandorf.
Woodmore won the tournament with 248 points. Delta edged Liberty Center for second place, 200.5-194. Allen East came in fifth with 130 points, while Bluffton ended up seventh at 128.
Fourth-seeded Ada senior Silas Riblet finished third in the 126 lbs. division to post the top Bulldog showing. Riblet won by pin in his first match, followed by a forfeit.
He then captured a 14-11 decision to advance to the semifinals, where he lost by technical fall 17-2 to the eventual bracket champion, senior Tyler Barnes of Delta.
Riblet then won the third-place bout via pin in 4:26 over junior Josh Bishop of Defiance Tinora to end up 4-1 at the tournament.
Ada sophomore Elijah Craig fashioned a 2-2 record with a pair of pins in the 157 lbs. bracket.
Freshman Carter Dunlap was 1-2 with a pin at 113 lbs.
