RESCHEDULED Strittmatter on The Coming of the Civil War
UPDATE
The Allen County Museum has rescheduled Strittmatter's talk, its annual meeting and the opening of the exhibition for February 1 at 2:00 p.m. due to the January 25 weather forecast.
Ohio Northern University Associate Professor of History Dr. David Strittmatter will give a museum talk, The Coming of the Civil War. His focus will be on five key events in 1850s America–all related to the status of slavery–that set the country on the path of war.
The museum’s exhibit Threats of Conflict: Echoes of the Civil War opens the same day.
Museum talks are free to all visitors.
