Norma J. Bailey worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital
Norma J. Bailey, age 79, of McGuffey, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on June 20, 1946, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Orville “Squirrelly” and Ethel (Prater) Hicks, Sr. On October 25, 1964 Norma married John H. Bailey and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2021.
Norma is survived by two sons: John D. Bailey of Kenton and Jason L. (Michelle) Bailey of Belle Center; two daughters: Sherry (Donald) Taylor of McGuffey and Jeannie (James) Biederman of Mt. Victory; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister: Orville “Bud” Hicks, Jr. and Maretta Crowe.
Norma retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton, where she worked as a nurse aid. Norma loved her church, the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger, where she was a member.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, 2040 Township Road 120, Alger, Ohio 45812, with Rev. James Gatchell officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday, February 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
