Wilma Jean Bailey worked for Airfoil Textron
Wilma Jean Bailey, age 85, of Alger, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on November 5, 1940, in Lima, Ohio, to Thomas and Gertrude (Meeks) White. On August 24, 1984, Wilma married John Bailey, and he survives in Alger.
Also surviving are her children: Angela (Joseph) Freytag of Alger, Robert (Laura) Leiber of Alger, Johnny Bailey of Ada and Thad (Becky) Bailey of Kenton; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren and her dog Buddy.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Diana Leiber and Jackie Bailey; and four sisters: Josephine Cheney, Ruth Meeker, Betty White and Roberta Stevenson.
Wilma retired from Airfoil Textron. She was a Pentecostal. Wilma loved to cook, bake, crochet and shop. She enjoyed taking trips to Kentucky. Wilma was selfless and put everyone else first.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with Tex Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, March 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
