APL Maker Magic geocache event, April 21
Ada Public Library, 320 N Main St, will host a Maker Magic geocaching event on Tuesday, April 21, 6:00-7:15 p.m. Here's the invitation:
Join us as we delve into the exciting world of geocaching containers in the Ada Public Library's front meeting room!
Topics we will cover:
- How to choose quality containers that blend into their surroundings so that they don’t get damaged and/or stolen
- How to choose quality containers that are leak-resistant
- How to choose quality log paper that can withstand the elements
- Tips from a local 3D printing expert on how to craft quality 3D printed geocache containers from choices in filament to container design features
- Examples of quality "camo materials" to keep your cache out of sight of muggles will be on display
- Choosing a good Letterbox Hybrid stamp with self-contained inking media and using a weather-resistant container
- Q & A time with experienced geocachers. (All experienced geocachers are encouraged to bring one unplaced, creative container to the event for show and tell.)
If time permits, there may be light snacks available after the presentation is concluded. You may bring something to eat (dinner, snack, refreshments) if you wish.
