Murder trial of Donna Jo Miller postponed until December

The Lima News has reported that the jury trial in Hardin County Common Pleas Court of Donna Jo Miller on charges connected to the death of her sister, Paula Dirmeyer, has been postponed until December 7, 2026.
An investigation initiated by the Ada Police Department led to Miller's arrest in April. The charges against Miller are murder, involuntary manslaughter, strangulation and felonious assault.
On November 24, 2025, Dirmeyer came to the Ada Police Department to report that she had been assaulted within the Village of Ada by a known individual. On November 27, officers were notified by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office that Dirmeyer had been found deceased in her home in Harrod.
