Aug. 22 supply drive for Ada Schools and Ada Food Pantry are part of ACE Day
Please attach the orange flyer to your donations!
MEDIA RELEASE__If you live within the village limits, you may have noticed an orange tag left on your door this week. This tag may be used to mark donations for the Ada Schools and Ada Food Pantry on ACE Day, August 22.
Each year, Ada and Ohio Northern University come together for Ada Community Engagement (ACE) Day, when more than 300 students, faculty, and staff take to the streets of Ada to complete community service projects. These projects include visiting with local residents, cleaning, landscaping, painting, and organizing for businesses, agencies, and individual households throughout Ada and the surrounding communities.
ACE Day also hosts two supply drives: one benefiting Ada Schools and one benefiting the Ada Food Pantry. The orange tag lists the items that are currently needed most. ONU students will be in the community on the morning of Saturday, August 22, to pick up donations.
WHY ATTACH THE FLYER?
With the growing popularity of grocery delivery, we want to make sure our students do not accidentally pick up items that are not intended for the supply drive. We are instructing students not to pick up any donations that do not have a tag on them. If you misplaced your tag, clearly mark it for donation by placing another tag of some sort that says "For Donation."
Thank you for helping us make ACE Day a success and for supporting our local community!
