Donations for Trunk-or-Treat events  

MEDIA RELEASE— Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, Inc. invites individuals, businesses, schools, churches and community organizations to support its annual Candy Drive, beginning Monday, September 28, and continuing through Saturday, October 31, 2026. 

The agency is collecting all kinds of candy to distribute to children and families at numerous  Trunk-or-Treat events throughout the counties it serves. The annual drive gives the community a  fun way to support local youth while helping Big Brothers Big Sisters connect families with  information about its mentoring programs. 

“Trunk-or-Treat events give our team an opportunity to create positive experiences for young  people while introducing families to the life-changing impact of mentoring,” said Dr. Portia G.  Smith, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, Inc. 

“Every bag of  candy donated helps us bring joy to children, strengthen our community connections, and remind  families that Big Brothers Big Sisters is here to support them.”
