US improved to 10-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 in NCOSA play with the home win. Miller City is first in the league standings at 4-0.

After a scoreless first half, Ram Caleb Arter scored the lone goal of the match with approximately 20 minutes left in the second half.

“Really proud of how hard our boys battled,” said Ada head coach Aaron Acheson. “We wanted to compete and make things as difficult as we could for them, and our guys did that.

“Upper Sandusky was able to find a little space between our right back and center back,” he remarked about the goal. “Caleb made a good turn, and was able to place a ball near post that found the back of the net.”

Keeper Jacob Rush made seven saves in goal for the Bulldogs. Upper directed eight shots on goal, while Ada put three shots on frame.

“We need to continue to work on recognizing and taking advantage of space in the attacking third,” said Acheson. “Upper Sandusky is having a good season, and I was impressed with their size and speed. Credit to their guys for a hard-fought game.”
