Sadie (Mullins) Conley, 79, died on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 at 7:50 p.m. at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on April 14, 1940, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to the late Elisha and Fannie (Bailey) Mullins. On Sept. 2, 1967 Sadie married Rodney L. Conley and who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2007. 

Sadie retired from United Aircraft in Forest, Ohio, where she worked as an assembler.  She was a 1958 graduate of Alger High School.

Kerry L. Allen, 62, died on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019,at 1:52 p.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.

He was born on April 18, 1957, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Jack C. and June (Winegardner) Allen. 

Kerry worked as Tow Motor Driver for Whirlpool in Findlay.

He is survived by  his daughter, Jada Allen of Minster; two sisters: Cynthia (Jeff) Hollon of  Alger and Jacqueline (Doug) Martin of Fremont; a step brother, Mike (Roberta) Ginter of Springfield; and two step sisters: Janie Ginter of Toledo and Cindy Ginter of Kentucky.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice of Fremont.

Former Ada resident Vivian L. Brown, 98, died on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at 10:23 a.m. at Willow Ridge in Bluffton.

She was born on April 15, 1921, in Rockford, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Lulu (Rutledge) Krogman. On Aug. 22, 1947, she married Claude S. Brown and he passed away on June 4, 1988.  

Vivian was a graduate of Mendon Union High School in Mendon, Ohio, with the class of 1939. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and its Womans Society.  She was a member of the Ada Senior Citizens and a former member of the Ada Mothers Study Club and a member of the American Legion Post 185.

BLUFFTON - The Ada golf team finished a solid third in a four-team Northwest Conference battle Wednesday at the Bluffton Golf Course.

Co-host Bluffton won with just 171 strokes, followed by Lincolnview (183), Ada (207) and Delphos Jefferson (210).

Senior Alex Morgan paced the Bulldogs by shooting a 47. Other than one bad stretch on the second hole, Morgan shot 36 over the other eight holes.

Junior Brevin Sizemore was second for Ada with a total of 52.

Senior Ethan Hull, sophomore Dexter Woods and junior Jacob Morgan each tied for third on the Bulldog squad with identical rounds of 54.

ReStore Community Center, 210 N. Main St., Ada, is closed and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 10, with a new name and new look. A 3:30 p.m. grand re-opening is planned followed by a Crock Pot Tuesday dinner with serving starting at 4 p.m.

Ronda Lehman served as president of the Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Medical Center since March 2019.

Ohio Northern University alum and ONU faculty adjunct Ronda Lehman was named president of Mercy Health's Lima market. Lehman served as president of the Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Medical Center since March 2019.

Lehman will oversee operations, quality, service and growth goals for the Lima market, which includes Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center and the various outpatient services.

Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to operational excellence will continue to advance growth in the Lima market. Her appointment was effective Sept. 1.

Bob Baxter will continue as a leader in the Mercy Health ministry as president of the Toledo market.
