Several items are on Wednesday morning’s chamber agenda, according to Deb Curlis, director of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce. The free breakfast meeting is at 8 a.m. in the Ada Public Library.
Here’s an update on chamber-related activities:
• Mark Wipper has resigned from the board and will move to Colorado this summer. His term ends Dec. 31, and the board chose not to replace him at this time.
• Chamber president Heather Cox said that the chamber’s Facebook continues to add friends. Persons interested in following it may click here.
Ohio Northern All-American Ryan Bruns will participate in this year's The Basketball Tournament (TBT) with the Dayton Red Scare.
TBT is a 64-team tournament of top-notch professional basketball, featuring college alumni teams, international basketball stars, ex-NBA players and future NBA players competing in a single-elimination 5-on-5 tournament.
The champions from each regional site will move on to Championship Weekend to play for the $2 million, winner-take-all prize in Chicago from Aug. 1-6.
Ada's street cleaner is busy this summer. The Icon caught up with the vehicle recently on the west side of town. The vehicle is well focused: its main task is to make certain the streets are clean, and it succeeds in that task very well.
