Instrumental concert on Monday; vocal concert on Tueday

The Ada High School Band will conclude the 2018-19 school year with a concert Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. 

The spring concert will include recognition of the band and color guard students, with awards presentations for involvement in the instrumental music program. 

Awards presented will include the nationally recognized John Phillips Sousa Award and the Orion Award for Band, as well as letter winners and additional awards.  Jonathan Lischak is the instrumental music director. 

Camille Renee’ Runser Bishop, 55, died on March 27, 2019, following a brief illness in Delaware, Ohio, surrounded by her family and good friends.

Five advance to regionals: Noah Mattson, Nora Dellifield, Miguel Jordan, Alex Morgan, Philip Gautier

FINDLAY - Five Ada track and field athletes made it to regionals at the Div. III district meet hosted by Liberty-Benton in Findlay Thursday and Saturday.

Ada senior Noah Mattson took first in the shot put, and junior Nora Dellifield finished third in the pole vault to post the top Bulldog individual finishes for the males and females.

Mattson is on a quest to return to the state meet and finish higher on the final podium.
 
Ada senior Miguel Jordan moved up from eighth in the 800 meter preliminary heats Thursday to finish third Saturday, clinching a return to regionals.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved Eticovo (etanercept-ykro). The FDA approved this new biosimilar to treat multiple inflammatory conditions, which include the following:

Sophomores Matt Bradshaw (Cleveland/Norton) and Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) and freshman Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) represented the Ohio Northern men's track and field team at the Gregory Invitational at North Central (Ill.), rounding out the program's pre-national championship slate.

The meet, which served as an official last chance qualifier for the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships, was not scored.

Bradshaw and Buderer each registered top-three finishes to lead the way at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium Wednesday and Thursday.

Outbreaks of hepatitis A are taking place in several states throughout the country, including our neighboring states of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia.

In Ohio, the greater Cincinnati area is leading the state in the number of confirmed hepatitis cases. The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) declared a statewide community outbreak of hepatitis A after observing an increase in cases linked to certain risk factors since the beginning of 2018.
