Ronald D. “Doug” Frazier, age 55, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 12:07 p.m. at his residence in Ada.

          He was born on July 25, 1963 in Lima, Ohio to Ronald and Jean (Gross) Frazier.  His father survives in Ada and his mother preceded him in death.  He was previously married to Tonya Frazier for 20 years. 

Also surviving are two sons: Cody (Jamie) Frazier of Omaha, NE and Justin Frazier of Ada; a daughter: Cayce (Shannon) Archer of Ada; grandchildren: Savannah Archer, Rylee Frazier, and Kaylee Frazier; a brother: Todd (Michele) Frazier of Ada; and a sister: Deb (John) Williams of Alger.

Richard Lee “Dick” Counts, age 76, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 5:08 AM at his residence in Ada, surrounded by his family.

          He was born on January 11, 1942 in Lima, Ohio to the late Eugene and Freda (Sroufe) Counts.   On March 3, 1962 Dick married Bonnie M. Wireman and she survives in Ada.  Also surviving are his children: John E. (Bonnie) Counts of Fostoria, Cathy A. (Warren “Mac”) McNeely of Bellevue, Linda S. (Marc) Staley of Ada, and Robert K. Counts of Lima; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

One of the Ada area's newest business, The Frosting Studio of Bluffton, wants you to be ready for Halloween.

"Join us in our Hallween cupcake workshop," says Debra Stockford, shop owner. "You'll take home a Halloween cupcake 6-pack when the workshop is completed."

Stockford said the workshops are Saturday, Oct. 20, and Oct. 27, at her business location, 142 E. Jefferson St., Bluffton - located in Tommy Plaza.

According to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, between Thurday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 7, the area received 1.7 inches of rain between Thursday and Sunday.

TIFFIN - The Ada boys soccer team was seeded seventh out of 12 teams at the Div. III Tiffin district drawing held Sunday.

The Bulldogs (7-5-1) will play their first round sectional match at fourth seed seed Oak Harbor on Monday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m.

The Ada/Oak Harbor winner will advance to the second round Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Willard at 5 p.m.

The winner there advances to the district semifinals Oct. 24 at Tiffin Columbian. The district finals are Oct. 27 at Columbian

FINDLAY - The Ada girls soccer team was seeded 10th at the drawing for the 11-team Div. III Findlay district held Sunday.

Ada (4-9) will play at sixth-seeded backyard rival Allen East (6-4-3) Tuesday, October 16 at 5 p.m. in first round sectional tournament play.

The victor will visit top-seeded Liberty-Benton Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in round two action.

In a scheduling rarity, Ada (2-3 NWC) will also host the Mustangs (3-1-1 NWC) in their final regular season game this Saturday, Oct. 13. Thus, they will face their local traditional rival twice in a four-day span.
