The collection clearly shows Lennon's pursuit of perfection; it offers an upgrade in aural experience for John Lennon fans

Gimme Some Truth is a box set containing four themed discs of remastered John Lennon songs.

The box set was released along with John Lennon Signature Box Set and Power to the People: The Hits compilation to celebrate what would have been the artist’s 80th birthday.

At The Inn at ONU on Oct. 31.

The Inn at ONU is taking reservations for its “Around the world Halloween wine sampling” event planned in October.

The sampling is from 7:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, at The Inn, 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

The evening includes five wine samples from a selection of eight wines unique to The Inn, plus a variety of appetizers and desserts.

Wine commentary will be provided during the evening by Diana Kerr Brown, an industry wine expert. Live music is also part of the event.

Wine will be available for purchase during the evening.

Hardin County farmer Levern Weaver recently directed a $2,500 America’s Farmers Grow Communities donation, sponsored by Bayer Fund, to Hardin County 4-H.

The 4-H Program will use the funds to conduct a new Agricultural Science program with Cloverbud members. This program will provide hands-on learning to 4-Hers who are in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Youth will explore soil science, water quality, careers in the agriculture industry, and more. The program will take place in April – September of 2021.  

The congregations of St. Mark Lutheran and Sugar Grove United Methodist are working together to provide a free community meal – Last Wednesday Community Meal –  from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The meal is for carryout only and pickups are available at St. Mark, 125 Johnson St., Ada. Social distancing and safety protocol will be observed. 

This month's meal is baked spaghetti. There will be carry out service only and the meal is free and opened to the public.  Last month 61 meals were served.

Ada senior middle Megan Light was chosen to play in the District 8 Div. IV All-Star volleyball game for seniors. 

She was named to the Honorary Senior team as a member of the East squad.

The 5-11 Light led the 10-12 Lady Bulldogs in kills this season. She was a two-time All-Northwest Conference first team selection, and made second team all-league once.

Senior Paige Fortkamp of Ft. Recovery was named District 8 Div. IV West Player of the Year. Junior Abi Lammers of Miller City was voted East Div. IV District 8 Player of the Year.
