It's red, white and blue and some spring colors, too. Here's a view of an American flag at the entrance to Ohio Northern University on Main Street. The photo was taken through the branches of a flowering redbud tree in full bloom.

In honor of the lives of those killed and injured and those whose lives were forever altered by the tragedy of May 4, 1970, at Kent State University, Governor DeWine ordered that all United States and Ohio flags be flown at half-staff upon all state-owned buildings throughout the state and at the Ohio Statehouse, Vern Riffe Center, and Rhodes Tower, at 12:24 p.m, until sunset.

Ada had a tile factory and so did neighboring Beaverdam. Here's a rare photograph of the Beaverdam factory at the turn of an earlier century.

 Although the exact location is not known, the business operate in the early 1900s. Will Triplettt, pioneer Bluffton photographer, took the photo. It was originally on an 8.5 by 11 glass negative.
