For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're debunking four common mammogram myths.

Mammograms are low-dose X-ray pictures of the breast. Because mammography can detect breast cancer tumors before they can be felt, screening is very important for early detection. And early breast cancer detection has been linked to higher chances of survival. Speak with your doctor about how often you should be screened for breast cancer. For more information on performing a breast self-exam and detecting breast changes, check out Detecting Breast Cancer Early.

Music therapy has been recognized as an effective form of reducing anxiety and stress. For example, many studies have supported the findings of listening to music prior to a surgery because it reduces the need for using sedative medication.

Now, musicians from the community can help provide comfort and healing to patients and all those who enter the doors of Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center. It is all thanks to a donation from St. Rita’s Volunteer/Auxiliary Resources; a baby grand piano now resides in the lobby of the facility.

This year's fall colors are extraordinary.

By definition autumn leaf color is a phenomenon that affects the normal green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the autumn season, various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, blue, orange, magenta, and brown.

One way to appreciate Ada's folliage turning from green to reds, yellows and its wide assortment of other colors is to view a short video from the Ohio Northern Unviersity Art and Design Facebook.

Click here, sit back and enjoy the colors.
