Getting to know a new building in town is like meeting a newborn for the first time.

There are many questions, much anticipation and, finally after your first visit, you are sold.

The James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building on the Ohio Northern Campus is the newest building in Ada, Ohio 45810.

And it needs some getting used to, but upon your first visit, you will be sold. Ada Icon took a quick sneak peek of the building earlier this week. Viewers will discover lots more about the building this fall.

Mushtaq Ashraf, MD, has joined the medical team of Hematology & Oncology Associates, part of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices. Dr. Ashraf will see patients at The Armes Family Cancer Care Center located at 15900 Medical Dr. South, Findlay.

Dr. Ashraf received his medical degree from the University of Karachi’s Dow Medical College. He then completed his internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and his medical oncology fellowship at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

BLUFFTON - The Ada golf team finished a solid second in a three-team non-conference match Wednesday evening at the Bluffton Golf Course.

Leipsic won with 182 strokes, followed by the Bulldogs (195) and Lima Senior (225).

It was Ada's second straight match with a team score under 200.

Junior Brevin Sizemore and senior Ethan Hull tied for team honors with identical scores of 48. Senior Alex Morgan was right behind them with a score of 49.

Sophomore Dexter Woods shot 50 for the second round in a row to tie his personal-best for nine holes.

USV quarterback (sophomore Kadyn Hurley) throws the ball well, he runs their offense well. Connor Sanders is a big target.

ADA - Facing a must-win situation, winless Ada visits surprisingly undefeated traditional rival Upper Scioto Valley Friday night in a week three showdown.

The Rams are off to their first 2-0 start under head coach Dustin Price.

The Rams whipped Springfield Catholic Central 38-6 in their opener. USV then went to Cory-Rawson and stung the Hornets 26-20 in a week two thriller by rallying to score two fourth period touchdowns.

Can't make it to the office? Midwest Rehab @ Home will come to you

Midwest Rehab, 118 E. Highland Ave., Ada, now offers physical and occupational therapy in homes of patients in and surrounding Ada, according to Joni Goodman, administrator of the Ada office.

It’s called Midwest Rehab @ Home.

The new service means patients unable to visit any of the three Midwest Rehab offices due to health risk, lack of transportation, limited mobility or other injuries now have the option of having therapists make private home visits.

Home visits are available in every community surrounding Ada, including for example, Lima, Findlay, Kenton, Bluffton, Arlington, Alger, McGuffey and Beaverdam.
