ADA - The Ada girls soccer team whipped visiting Northwest Conference foe Paulding 10-0 Thursday evening.
The win improved the Lady Bulldog record to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the NWC. Paulding fell to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat.
"The majority of the game was played on our offensive end," said Ada head coach Doug Poling. "We dominated shots on goal."
After a scoreless opening 15 minutes, the Bulldogs broke on top when Katie Butterfield scored on a cross from Ella Poling. Poling made it 2-0 moments later when Ella Badertscher played a through ball to her.

ADA - The host Ada volleyball team lost in four sets to visiting Leipsic Thursday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-4 with the 25-13, 25-20, 20-25, 25-16 defeat.
"We had some momentum heading to the fourth set, but they had too many runs," said Bulldog second-year head coach Kyleigh Tabor. "We couldn't side out. But I am proud of the way we came back in the third set.
"Leipsic has a good team with solid middle and outside hitters," she added. "We were not able to overcome our slow starts."
Kerry L. Allen, 62, died on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at 1:52 p.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
He was born on April 18, 1957, in Lima, Ohio to the late Jack C. and June (Winegardner) Allen.
Kerry worked as Tow Motor Driver for Whirlpool in Findlay.
He is survived by his daughter, Jada Allen of Minster; two sisters: Cynthia (Jeff) Hollon of Alger and Jacqueline (Doug) Martin of Fremont; a step brother, Mike (Roberta) Ginter of Springfield; and two step sisters: Janie Ginter of Toledo and Cindy Ginter of Kentucky.
Ohio Northern senior All-American Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week form her efforts in the 41st AnnuL ONU Invitational Friday at Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.
Huppert led the No. 23-ranked Polar Bears to victories over No. 13 Illinois Wesleyan and Transylvania (Ky.).
Northern also dropped a 4-set decision to No. 2 Calvin (Mich.) and a 5-set thriller to No. 6 Wittenberg.
Sadie (Mullins) Conley, 79, died on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 at 7:50 p.m. at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on April 14, 1940, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to the late Elisha and Fannie (Bailey) Mullins. On Sept. 2, 1967 Sadie married Rodney L. Conley and who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2007.
Sadie retired from United Aircraft in Forest, Ohio, where she worked as an assembler. She was a 1958 graduate of Alger High School.
