Lima Symphony patriotic pops concert here on July 6

The Lima Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Independence Day with its fifth annual Patriotic Pops Concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, at Ohio Northern University.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held on the sculpture mall east of McIntosh Center, between Presser and Weber halls.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs, blankets and favorite picnic foods.

Further details will be shared closer to the event date.

Part of the library's summer reading program

By popular demand, Drummunity returns to Ada at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, at First United Methodist Church.

The return visit is part of this summer's Ada Public Library's reading program. Drummunity, based in Ann Arbor performed at last year's Harvest and Herb Festival. Lori Fithian is the director.

The United Methodist Women of First UMC Ada will hold an ice cream social at 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, that is open to the public.

The menu includes sandwich or hot dog, sides, beverage, brownie, and Dietsch's Ice Cream.  It takes place in Wesley Hall.

 

Century 21 Sunway Realty, 208 N. Main St., Ada, invites Icon viewers to hot dog Thursdays, according to Becky Reed.

"Starting this Thursday, through Aug. 1, we will offer free hot dogs and lemonade in our Ada Main Street office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.," said Reed.

"It's open to anyone," she said, added to stop by and have lunch on Centuery 21 Sunway.

The Ada Academic Boosters sends thank you to Carol Slane Florist, Ada, for donating and maintaining the beautiful flowers used for Ada High School’s Academic Awards, Senior Awards and graduation.
