ADA - Second-ranked Lincolnview came to Ada and used a 12-run fourth inning to beat the Bulldogs 23-1 in Northwest Conference baseball play on a cool Friday night.
The loss dropped Ada's record to 8-11 and 1-6 in NWC play. The league-leading Lancers improved to 19-2 and 7-0 in the NWC with the lopsided win.
Lincolnview led just 3-1 after two innings. But the Lancers scored six in the third frame, then exploded for a dozen runs in the fourth to put the game away.
Lancer Jaden Youtsey smacked two doubles in the big fourth inning. His first drive bounced off the right-center field fence.

ADA - The Ada girls softball season came to a close with a 13-0 loss to visiting Lincolnview in Northwest Conference play on a chilly, overcast Friday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs finished 9-13 overall and 1-7 in the NWC with the defeat. The Lady Lancers improved to 15-6 overall and 4-3 in the NWC with the run-rule shortened, five-inning win.
"We have a young team with a lot of growing to do," said Ada first-year head coach Rebecca Dicke. "We have some talented players who will keep working hard in the off-season and get more experience as we continue to rebuild."
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has been resurveyed by the Ohio State Medical Association Focused Task Force on Accreditation and awarded accreditation for four years as a provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) for physicians.
BVHS has been offering these educational opportunities since 1975, initially only for physicians. However, at BVHS any interested medical professionals such as medical students, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants and more are invited to attend as well.
Dr. James Davidson, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, says he treat patients as if they are a member of his family.
“My approach is non-surgical, first. If that fails, then try surgery,” he said, during a conversation in the Bluffton Hospital Clinic earlier this week.
Dr. Davidson is a partner in Blanchard Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Findlay. He sees patients in Bluffton on Wednesday afternoons.
Those patient ages' range from infants to seniors. His adult patients generally see him with arthritic hip and knee issues. “Most adults outlive their cartilage in these areas. It’s genetic,” he said.
