Charrilyn J. “Sherry” Benjamin, 1947-2026

Charrilyn J. “Sherry” Benjamin, age 78, of Alger, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Vancrest of Ada, surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 31, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Grover and Doris “Jan” (Koons) Guyton, Jr. On September 11, 1971, Sherry married James J. Benjamin, and he survives in Alger.

Sherry retired from Ohio Northern University, Ada, where she worked in the Financial Aid Office. She was a member of the Alger First Methodist Church. Sherry was an EMT for the USV EMS.

But for manufacturers, getting that single cup from a bulk sleeve into its own hygienic wrapper is a logistical puzzle. To solve it, a group of students from the Ohio Northern University T.J. Smull College of Engineering is partnering with Graphic Packaging International (GPI).
