I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the wonderful work that the librarians, staff, and volunteers do at the Ada Public Library!
The Ada Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for individuals to fill an open position on the board. Self-nominations as well as nominations of others are welcome.
Trustees must:
Live within the Ada Village Exempted School District
Attend a majority of meetings each year; meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at 9:00 a.m.
Support the Ada Public Library in fulfilling its mission
Abide by the Ethics Statement for Library Trustees, as found in the Ohio Library Council's Ohio Public Library Trustees' Handbook, and online at this link: www.ala.org/ala/alta/links/ethicsstatement.pdf
The Ada Public Library is celebrating "Friends of the Library" week, October 16, 2022.
From the library:
"The Friends of the Ada Public Library is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the Library in our community. Friends help promote the library, develop activities, present special programs, and encourage reading and use of the Library."
The Lima Symphony Orchestra will bring Symphony Storytime to the Ada Public Library at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19.
Children and their families will enjoy classic spooky selections in celebration of every candy-loving child’s favorite holiday: Halloween! This program features Moonlight the Halloween Cat by Cynthia Rylant, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams, and Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson, all accompanied by live music from Lima Symphony Orchestra musicians.
