Ada Public Library

Natalie Walton of the public library shares all the details

You’ve probably not heard of “Gross Game Tuesday.”

But, you have now and it a game to be played in pairs with your family, friends or anyone you can coax into playing.

Natalie Waldon of the Ada Public Library likes these games so much that she is sharing them twice a month in an instructional library Facebook video.

She says that all you need to play this game is whipped cream (or shaving cream) and cheese puffs.

Once the equipment is gathered coat your partner’s face with your topping of choice (see photo). Now the fun begins.

Toss cheese puffs at your partner’s face. The face with the most cheese puffs wins.

Limit is 10 patrons at a time

The Ada Public Library has reopened to the public.

Rhett Grant, library administrator, announced on Facebook that the library opened today (Monday, Sept. 28).

"There is a limit of 10 people allowed in the library at one time," he told The Icon. "Visits are for a maximum of 30 minutes."

He added that he recommends that patrons schedule an appointment to prevent from waiting to enter.

Scheduling appointments can take place by calling the library at 419-634-5246 or click here.

All you need to do is call for a time when you can stop in on your own

“We know many patrons are anxious to come into the library and browse,” said Rhett Grant, administrator of the Ada Public Library.

And, with an announcement from the governor of Ohio allowing libraries to reopen, Ada’s library did so on a limited basis with limited use for computers on Aug. 14.

The Icon took advantage of the opening and stopped in on Aug. 27 and found the accommodations in excellent and safe condition.

The library issued an addendum to its reopening, and copies are available at the library entrance. The reopening procedures include 14 items and patrons can find that list at the bottom of this story.

Patrons may now schedule a time to stop in the library

The Ada Public Library is back in business.

Last week the library announced that it is taking appointments for patrons to stop inside the library, according to Rhett Grant, library administrator.

“Patrons can schedule a visit by calling the library at 419-634-5246,” he said.

They can also schedule a visit by clicking on this link.

Appointments are for 10 people or less for 30 minutes, every hour on the hour.

Curbside will continue at the same time. Also, late fines will continue to be waived.
