The Ada Theatre has a new opportunity for local businesses to promote themselves to theatre-goers, according to James and Sheri Curlis, Ada Theatre owners.
"Each month we are seeing an increase of traffic in our theatre. With our first run movies, low ticket and concession prices, this makes us a popular spot for affordable family fun," said James Curlis.
The theatre is now offering four 10-second spots in its half-hour pre-show. Ads will play at least 40 times per week. An advertising display will also be created for the theatre lobby. There customers will have access to advertisers cards, brochures and pamphlets.
The deadline is just a few days away for area teachers to apply for a McDonald’s MAC Grant. Teachers wanting to apply for the MAC Grant must have their applications postmarked or submitted electronically by July 31.
The application is very simple so there is still plenty of time for teachers to complete the application before the deadline. A limited number of grant recipients will be chosen on or before Sept. 1.

"With the new lease freshly signed Wednesday, we are currently entering the space and renovating it for dance purposes, but thankfully this new space does not require much work," she said.
