You open your mailbox and see a glossy invitation for a steak dinner, promising a short presentation on Wills or Trusts. Promises like “Avoid probate with a Trust” or “Don’t let the nursing home get everything you’ve worked for” seem to make a lot of sense and who can pass up a free steak?!
We have found, in many years of assisting clients, that “free lunches” don’t always end up free. They come with pressure and can lead people to make decisions they typically wouldn’t make – ones based on emotion, fear, and incomplete information. For the fourth year, Bluffton and Ada Icons received re-accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, serving West Central Ohio, according to Fred Steiner, owner. The Icons joined BBB in 2017.
Businesses meeting Better Business Bureau ethical standards may be invited to become accredited, and these firms provide the financial support which allows BBB to offer services to communities at no charge.

New Leaf Landscape and Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, Ada, has a fall planting sale underway.
The garden center has fall decorating supplies, planting supplies, and sale items including trees, selected shrubs, evergreens, perennials, tulips and other bulbs.

Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
