Kiwanis Club serves 330 chicken barbecue meals during Music on Main

President Myrna McCurdy called the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club to order on Tuesday July 16 at 12 noon at the News China Restaurant in downtown Ada.

Jon Umphress offered the invocation.

The birthday of Member Harold Friesner (July 21st) was noted.

Zac Dysert on SportsTalk live from El Campo Mexican Restaurant on Friday

Zac Dysert will be featured on Vince Koza's live radio show, broadcast from downtown Ada on Friday. The show will be broadcast from El Campo Mexican Restaurant, 204 N. Main St. from 5 to 7 p.m.

Dysert will be the guest on SportsTalk on 93.1 FM The Fan Sports Radio.

The Ada High School and Miami football standout was drafted by the Denver Broncos this spring. He will report to Bronco training camp on Monday.

Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H food drive Saturday

Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H Club will conduct a drive-thru food drive this weekend. The Club will collect non-perishable food items for the Ada Food Pantry.

The collection point is Hays Insurance parking lot, 123 S. Main St. The food drive takes place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 20.

BVHS to host Nursing College Fair July 26

Blanchard Valley Health System is hosting a nursing college fair Friday, July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital. The nursing college fair is for high school students interested in pursuing nursing careers as well as current nurses who would like to learn about continuing education opportunities.

Hootenannies 4-H Club working on fair booth theme

The Hardin Co Hootenannies 4-H Club's last meeting was brought to order by President Laura Spradlin at the farm of Faith Holbrook.  Isaac Davis led the American pledge and Callie Cromer led the 4-H pledge.  Secretary Miranda Holbrook asked for our favorite kinds of beans in roll call and we had 11 members present.
