Ada 1932:

June 1932 the transfer of the Ada Public Library from the Ada Federated Clubs to the new district library boards was in effect. Mrs. George Stambaugh was elected chairman of the new seven-member board.

July 1932 reconstruction of the elevator of the Ada Farmers Exchange was started. It had been destroyed by fire.

1935 Ada Schools withdrew from the county system to become Exempted Village School District. This move made the school district directly responsible to the state department of education.

September 1935 Play-by-play announcing of high school football games was inaugurated here with Leland Smull and Harold Huber in charge.

Liberty Township trustees in 1953

Do you recognize any of these men? They are the Liberty Township trustees from 1953. Seated from left to right, J.W. Mertz, Oscar Patterson, John W. Van Atta, Joseph L. Cotner (clerk), and Joseph Myers (custodian).
