Historical Ada

Here's a photo of Ada's Main Street business section taken circa 1905. Icon viewer John Marshall alerted the Icon of the photo.

It appears to be Main Street, just north of the railroad. Notice trees on the east side of the street and horse and buggies parked to hitching posts.

Near the north end of the photo you can see the Methodist Church steeple.

If you attended Ada High School in the 1985-86 school year, you can probably name these students.

They are on the cover of the yearbook that school year and were waiting in the lunch line when this photo was taken. From left, Andrea Traster, Jill Davis, Stephanie Shull and Carla Willeke.

The yearbook theme was "You Had To Be There."
