February 11, 1910 the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial Tablet was dedicated to the Ada Public Schools on behalf of E.W. Gilbert, of Los Angeles, California. It is a bronze and marble memorial tablet bearing the immortal words of Lincoln uttered at a dedication of the Gettysburg battlefield as a national cemetery

March 1910 Warren G. Harding of Marion addressed Ohio Northern University’s student body at the chapel service.

1899 Company G, Ohio National Guard was mustered into the state’s service

March 1905 Mayor Greer said Ada needed a marshal; we had a deputy but needed a primary officer and he nominated Alonzo Cummans.

March 1908 J.W. Morrow collided with a car opposite the post office, receiving slight injuries. This was the first auto accident in Ada.

1900 the mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery was built

March 1918 a service flag containing 389 stars was displayed at ONU

March 1923 Ohio Northern students chose the name “Polar Bears” for their athletic teams. Anthony Muto, campus correspondent, promoted the idea.

March 4, 1938 the Ada Future Farmers of America was chartered.
