The fish was caught during derby hours and Tidd took home $1,157.50, which was one-half of the 50-50 raffle held following the derby.

One other Ada fisherman, Mark Schlachter, caught trout number 229 at the derby. This year's derby, held May 6, was the 68th annual event sponsored by the Bluffton Sportmen's Club and held in the Bluffton Buckeye Quarry.
