We understand that opening day for baseball in Cincinnati is an unofficial holiday in that city.

The Icon stringer, Anne Steiner of Cincinnati, did like most people in the Queen City. She took the day off. She also and took photos of the 98th annual opening day parade.

The parade had 189 entries including lots of famous faces! Reds Hall-of-Famer Sean Casey was the parade Grand Marshal.

Cincinnati lost to Philadelphia in the season opener 4-3.

Here are some photos of the parade for Icon viewers.

Ken Collins took these two photos that proves there might be a canine Uber driver in Ada. Lilcensed, apparently.

This fashionable gentleman, well call him Fred, is sporting an Ada Icon cap.

The challenge, dear reader, is to guess where you'll find him.

Hint: you'll see him inside a business on South Main.

Answer. Fred helps keep store with Ruth Roider at Gallery for the Arts. Ruth won the Ada Icon cap at a recent Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. (Monty Siekerman photo)

Don Traxler, retired education prof and former mayor, leads cheers at the basketball game on Saturday at King-Horn.

The Lady Bears are without cheerleaders, so Don took it upon himself to get the crowd vocally behind the local team during their Elite 8 game. He attends many athletic contests at ONU throughout the year. (Monty Siekerman photo)

Local favorite Tori Wyss (left) greets teammates when the starting lineup was announced during the tourney game on Saturday night at the ONU Sports Center.

Tori scored four points in a lopsided win over Lakeland. Tori, an Ada High School grad, is a 5-10 forward who gets a lot of playtime in as a sophomore. (Monty Siekerman photo)
