Ada resident retires from Kenton medical practice

By Monty Siekerman
After 20 years of successful teaching at Ohio Northern, Judy Hruschka decided to go to med school.

The long-time Ada resident did just that at the age of 53. She retired from her medical practice in Kenton last month and has turned her attention to gardening, something she and her husband Peter have always enjoyed doing.

Of course, it rained, but that didn't dampen the evening festivities

Of course, it rained. Despite that Ada High School 2016 homecoming was memorable.

Mara Guyton was crowned queen and Jared Craig, King.

Sue Matson provided the Icon with the following photos from the pre-game ceremony. Identifications are below:

Here's a neat post from the Michael Harnishfeger, Ada Police Chief. It's from the police department's Facebook posted Tuesday:

Today while walking the halls of Ada school I discovered that it was Heroes and Villains Day.

Carisa Temple is a big fan of police and honored our profession by wearing her own police uniform. Carisa's uncle is a law enforcement professional with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Thanks Carisa, glad we are the heroes and not the villains :)

Always a pleasure to interact with our youth. The future is bright in Ada, Ohio.
