May, 1974 Harold Marshall received a clock trophy and a check for $100 for the first ever 300 game bowled at Norada Lanes, Ada.
Dave Parshall made the presentation at the Ada Men’s Bowling Association Banquet on May 25.
The second 300 game was not until January 1993 by Phil Austin, Lima, Ohio.
In January 1978 Charles Deringer bowled a 299 at Norada Lanes.
Much about our community is going well, and I appreciate the hard work and dedication of our public officials and volunteers, organizations, and businesses to make Ada a great place to work and live. One question I must ask, however, is "What is wrong with our school administration?"
Mayor David Retterer called a special council meeting for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss financial matters, with possible action to follow.

Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is ready for the holidays. Its annual Merry on Main is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, in downtown Ada. Here's the activities planned:

• Two of Santa's live reindeer on display
• Kid's crafts provided by Ada Public Library
• Meet and take photos with Anna and Elsa, characters from the move "Frozen"
• Ada Lions, Ada Kiwanis and Ada Rotary clubs will have activities for kids
Also downtown
• Visit Santa Claus, see a live Nativity and choir singing at First United Methodist Church
• Free hot chocolate at Beatitudes
