Ada High School held its winter sports awards banquet Tuesday evening.
Most Valuable athletes in each sport were: Connor Frazier (boys
basketball); Maddie Gossard (girls basketball); Chase Sumner (wrestling);
Zach Beaschler (boys swimming); Klava Katayama (girls swimming); Lyric
Jones and Anabel Alexander (cheerleading).

Ohio Northern standout senior Amy Bullimore (Morrow/Little Miami) has been named Second Team All-Great Lakes Region by D3Hoops.com in women's basketball for the 2017-18 season.
The Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year was named Second Team All-Great Lakes Region for the second time in her career.
Bullimore capped off her career in historic fashion this season, rewriting the record books at Ohio Northern.
Matthew Kroenig will discuss “The United States/North Korea Nuclear Weapons Impasse: The Way Forward” at 7 p.m. on March 21 in Dicke Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Virgil O. "Shelly" Shellenbarger, age 96, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 9:33 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
He was born on December 3, 1921 in Continental, Ohio to the late Lewis and Martha (Shafer) Shellenbarger. On September 20, 1946 Shelly married Ruth E. Rettig and she preceded him in death on January 18, 2009.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII from September 25, 1942 to February 17, 1946 in the South Pacific. Shelly and his wife Ruth were charter members of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenton. He was also an avid golfer.
