Mortar Board honorary and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority will sponsor the 5k and Kid Fun Run with a $15 registration fee, which will provide two or three stuffed polar bears to be given to children at local hospitals. The young Bulldog mentor endured an occasionally trying initial campaign on the sidelines, but the experience should pay dividends down the line.
Ada finished 4-19 overall and 0-8 in Northwest Conference play in 2016-17. Their top two scorers graduated - second team All-NWC big man Owen Conley and honorable mention all-league wing Jordan Bailey - but the Bulldogs return enough talented lettermen and size to provide optimism for an increased win total.

McVey claimed the honor for the second consecutive season and became the second men's runner in school history to earn the honor in two consecutive seasons. Former Polar Bear standout Jimmy O'Brien earned the honor during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
