The annual trick or treat event at Ohio Northern will begin with registration at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24 in the McIntosh Center activities room. ONU students will then lead the youngsters through residence halls beginning at 5:15 p.m.
The event will also include dinner at 6 p.m. in the McIntosh Center ballroom and a costume contest and raffle at 6:30 p.m. before wrapping up at approximately 7 p.m.
The event, which is open to area children, is free and open to the public. Children of all ages are encouraged to dress up and join the fun. All children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the festivities. The outing is presented by ONU’s office of residence life.
"Carrie the Musical" will open Thursday at the Freed Center. The ONU music and theatre arts departments will present five performances of the play adapted from Stephen King's horror story "Carrie."
Rehearsing are Taran Beasley (upstage), who plays Carrie White, and Hanna Lane, who plays Margaret White.

Ohio Northern sophomore Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9-15.
Huppert led the Polar Bears (21-4 overall, 4-1 OAC) to a perfect 4-0 week, including OAC victories over Heidelberg and John Carroll.
The sophomore ranked second on the team during the week with 44 kills, while hitting a solid .333.
Huppert also had a phenomenal week defensively, recording 14 blocks, including a game-high six blocks in a 3-0 sweep over Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on Friday afternoon.
