Northwest Ohio extension offices are noting "an unusual number of reports about fall armyworm outbreaks particularly in forage including alfalfa and sorghum sudangrass, and in turf. Certain hard-hit fields have been all but stripped bare."
The infestation can affect crops and lawns. Fall armyworm does not overwinter in Ohio.

Ada improved to 1-2 with the victory in their last non-league game of the regular season. HN fell to 2-1 with their first defeat.
"When you have been coaching as long as I have you are just excited for the kids," said first-year Ada head coach Toby Smith of his first win as Bulldog mentor.
Complex regional pain syndrome, or CRPS, is a chronic pain condition that most often affects one of the limbs (arms, legs, hands, or feet). Commonly following injury or trauma to a limb, CRPS is believed to be caused by the damaging or malfunctioning of the peripheral and central nervous systems.
The central and peripheral nervous systems are composed of the brain and spinal cord. The central and peripheral nervous systems entail nerve signaling from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. There are several symptoms related to CRPS, and it is distinguished by prolonged or excessive pain, among other symptoms.
