Dorothy J. Nichols, age 80, died on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:05 a.m. at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
She was born on December 17, 1937 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Delbert and Opal (Shanks) Mayer. On April 9, 1957 Dorothy married Eddie Nichols and he survives in Harrod.
Dorothy was a homemaker and gardener. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Melody A. Hadley, age 70, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:04 p.m. at Bridge Hospice, Blanchard Valley Health System, Findlay.
She was born on May 4, 1948 in Ashtabula, Ohio to the late Ray and Mary (Jones) Hare Sr. On April 29, 1967 Melody married James Lee Hadley and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2017.
Melody retired from Trumbull Memorial Hospital where she had worked in Medical Records. She was a member of the Ada Family Center.
Wilma L. Spallinger, age 80, died on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 3:55 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on August 2, 1937 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late William and Mary (Dunbar) Knell. On May 20, 1956 Wilma married Herbert D. Spallinger and he survives in Ada.
Lowell W. Allen, age 55, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 12:14 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on January 10, 1963 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Richard and Nancy (Sapp) Allen.
Lowell is survived by his three children: Mike Allen of Dola, Jill (Brett) Jones of Germany and Cassey (Nathan) Oates of Arlington; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers: Eddie (Peggy) Brown of Dunkirk and Luther Brown of Dunkirk; and three sisters: Lenora Bell of Ada, Lolita (Henry) Reffitt of Dunkirk and Lynnette Bloomfield of Dunkirk.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allen.
Lori Shannon Dyer, 48, died on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 12:57 p.m. at her home in Ada.
Lori was the loving daughter of Bill and Connie Dyer born on August 7, 1969 at Lima Memorial Hospital. Her father and mother survive in Alger. Other survivors include one son, Chance Dyer; two siblings: Shane (Elaine) Dyer of Gibsonburg and Angel Kindle of Lima. She had several nieces and nephews that she loves dearly: Ashlie (Deric) Legge of Lima, Josh, Jeanne and AJ Dyer of Gibsonburg. She had an amazing friend, Bruce Keller that stood by her side through her journey of life.
Thomas E. Bowman, age 66 died on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 9:50 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on April 3, 1952 in Bluffton, Ohio to William Lloyd E. and Hazel Marie (Smith) Bowman who preceded him in death. Thomas had married Barbara Weber, and she is deceased. He later married Phyllis Morrison Strawser who also preceded him in death.
Thomas was a truck driver and attended the Riley Creek Baptist Church as a child. He was a big Pittsburg Steelers fan, and a 1970 graduate of Cory Rawson High School.
