Ohio Northern University political science students received some sound career advice from a “Double Bear” graduate whose career has spanned the political, judicial and teaching realms. Ohio House of Representatives Speaker Robert R. “Bob” Cupp, who has served as a county commissioner, state senator, state court of appeals judge, Ohio Supreme Court justice, city prosecutor, chief legal counsel to the Ohio auditor, and visiting professor at ONU, told students to be assertive when it comes to their own job aspirations.

Ohio Northern University is celebrating the 99th birthday of mascot Klondike the polar bear on March 16, 2022.

The Icon has previously dubbed Klondike "the most photographed character in Ada"--but then he's got a head start on most of us.

Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy Dean Steve Martin, Pharm.D., recently received the Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), a leadership group that collaboratively focuses on critical care practice, education and research. The award annually recognizes a society member for their consistent and sustained leadership and contribution to the group’s Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (CPP) Section, which focuses on optimal pharmacotherapeutic outcomes for all critically ill patients.

March 15 in Tilton Hall

Ohio’s Third District Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments for two cases at Ohio Northern University on Tuesday, March 15 in Claude W. Pettit College of Law’s Tilton Hall, Room 129. At the conclusion of arguments, which will pertain to one criminal case and one civil case, the appellate judges will take questions from the audience.

The event will be free and open to the public. Business attire is required and observers must be seated by 9:40 a.m. Court will be in session at 10 a.m.
