Dr. Mark Weiner, a family practice physician, has joined Fostoria Primary Care, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, and will begin seeing patients located at 617 N. County Line St., Fostoria.
Dr. Weiner will be providing primary care and internal medicine to all ages. Services will include care for chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, family planning and reproductive counseling and routine check-ups for overall health.
“I am excited to welcome dr. Weiner to the Blanchard Valley Health System family of professionals,” said Kelly Shroll, president of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices. “He shares our strong passion for providing the best patient care.”

Maggie Krause had heard it enough. She was sick and tired of coaches conveying to her the potential she had. The potential to attend college and compete in a sport at a very high level.
For years, coaches from high school, colleges and clubs had told Krause she had all the tools to excel in the sport of pole vault. But for years, she cleared the same height, didn't hit the mark she aimed for and fought disappointment every step of the way.
There's a new carpet in town and it's all about Ada. Anyone visiting the municipal building will find it in the main floor village office. It's the unoffical village logo showing the historic railroad depot and listing the year of Ada's incorporation in 1853.
Ada Area Chamber of Commerce invites nominations for the outstanding business of the year, according to Deb Curlis, chamber director.
A printer-friendly nomination form is attached at the bottom of this story. The outstanding business will be recognized during the chamber’s annual meeting luncheon. It is at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 19, at The Inn at ONU.
Tickets for the meeting are $20 per person with reservations due by Saturday, Feb. 1. Nominations for business of the year are due Friday, Jan. 31.
