Did you ever wonder how well the grand and reserve champion fair animals will grade out on the rail?
The OSU Extension office announced the 2015 Hardin County Fair Carcass Show of Champions to be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6: p.m.
The annual carcass show will be held at Mt. Victory Meats, 670 East Marion Street in Mt. Victory. The carcass show will evaluate the meat value of the grand champion and reserve champion steers, barrows, gilts, lambs and goats.

The Ada Friends Program is gearing up for the 2015-16 school year, according to Austin Hilverding, coordinator of the program.
Ada Friends involves mentoring between Ohio Northern University students and students in the Ada schools from Kindergarten through eighth grade. The Ada Friends mentoring program has existed for over 20 years.
“Children in the program spend one to two hours a week bonding with their Big (mentor) through monthly group activities, and more importantly, one-on-one time,” said Hilverding. “This allows participants have fun and develop a supportive relationship that can positively impact the development of children in the program in countless ways.”
The Ohio Northern University Women's Soccer team has started off the new season with high expectations on the field; but the team is also hoping to have an impact off the field.
The team has joined forces with Friends of Jaclyn; a foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other child hood cancers to raise awareness through their Adopt-A-Child, Safe on the Sidelines and Guardian Angel Programs.
