What have you been up to since your graduation from Ada High School?
I am studying pharmacy at Ohio Northern University and run track and cross country here.
What is it about pharmacy and Spanish that you like? What drew you to those areas of study?
I guess I always knew I wanted to do something in the health field, and somehow pharmacy just seemed to be the perfect fit for me. With my brother and sister both studying pharmacy and my mom a nurse, it was always something in the back of my mind.
The last meeting of the Hardin Co Hootenannies was opened by President Megan Williams at the Ag Credit meeting room. We like the opportunity to meet in their fine place. Megan asked Levi Beiler to lead the 4-H pledge and Miranda Holbrook to lead the American Pledge. Roll call found 11 members present.
Our t-shirts are being printed. We all signed a Thank you to Trupointe Co-op in Uniopolis for donating the money to purchase the members’ t-shirts. We are all very appreciative.

“I came to Ada for college, met Mark, and never left,” shares Kim Light who grew up in Richwood, Ohio, about 45 miles southeast of Ada.
The couple lived in town until about seven years ago when they moved north of town. “I love the sense of community here; knowing your neighbors, and moving to the country reminds me of how I grew up. Also seeing people I know in town or at the grocery is a nice part of living in Ada, too.”
President Heather Cox called weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club to order at 12:00 noon on Tuesday July 15th at McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University, Ada.

You just graduated from Ada High School this May and you’re headed to Ohio State Lima in the fall to major in pre-health. Tell us more about that.
I chose OSU because with the amount of times that I have had the opportunity to visit Lima’s campus, I have been able to see many of the amazing things I could do with the medical program. I plan on living at home for two years and then I will be moving to main campus to finish my program.
