Peg and Dick Lawrence of Ada, Ohio will celebrate their 65th Wedding Anniversary on September 8.
They were married on September 8, 1957 at Dola Presbyterian Church. They have three children: Jill Meyer, Juli Miller, Jeff Lawrence; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
From the Lawrences: "What a wonderful life we have shared together." They have lived and been involved in Ada community for 65 years. Peg retired from Lima Memorial Hospital and Dick retired from Apollo Career Center.

A large decorative black bench now sits in front of the Beatitudes Community Center at 210 N. Main St., as an invitation to sit and watch the world go by, to stop and chat with someone you meet or to simply pause and take a moment of needed rest.
The bench is the gift of Penny Keller-Clark, known in the community as Officer Penney of the Ada Police Department. Keller-Clark made the gift as a memorial to her husband Patrick, who passed away in 2020 at age 92. A plaque is inscribed with his name, Patrick Joseph Clark, and The Irish Blessing (May the road rise up to meet you…).
Three Ada Girl Scouts from Troop 2006 have spent more than a year on a project at Ada's Dog Park. Emma Lambdin, Jordyn Smith and Allysa Nau have created new features for the park while earning the Silver Award.
On Saturday, August 27, Ada Area Chamber of Commerce director Lindsay Walden joined the scouts for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the park, 525 E Lehr Ave., where the girls demostrated four new obstacles they built.
HARDIN COUNTY–Mark Badertscher was selected as one of two Ohio Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educators to be recognized for the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) Achievement Award. The NACAA Achievement Award recognizes Extension Educators with less than ten years in the profession. The award was presented at the 2022 NACAA Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference held in West Palm Beach, Florida July 18-21.
