Is Ada High School freshman Thalia Detty the model for the book cover “Viola in Reel Life”?
The photo with this story certainly suggests it. However, the answer is, “maybe.”
Thalia submitted her photo entry for the state-wide Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA) and was selected statewide winner of the solo category. It was one of three contest categories.
The contest was part of the OELMA’s celebration of National School Library Month in April.
"The challenge was to include people somehow in with a book cover," said Chanda Smith, Ada school media center director.

No gifts please, and CDC covid guidelines will be followed.
Ken Collins shares this photo of ET that he took in the parking lot of an area restaurant. Apparently some folks are willing to travel light years for good food.
