For elementary students - Star Wars theme

Star Wars is the theme of this year’s Reading Carnival sponsored by the Ada Academic Boosters to encourage reading.

The Carnival, for students from kindergarten to 5th grade, will occur on Friday, May 4, in the 1986 Gym.

There will be carnival games, pop corn, and a bulldog shop. Wilson the Ada Bulldog will be around for pictures with students.

The event is organized by parent volunteers with Amber Simon and Lori Poling as this year’s co-chairs.

Ohio Northern rallied from a quick 5-0 deficit to post a thrilling 11-10 victory and claim a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title on Saturday. Click here for details.

Here's a  photo from the 1966 May Day Parade in Ada.

Four of the people in the photo have been identified.  Katherine Smith is the lady with the baby stroller, the two young girls standing by the back of the car are Vicky Conley (Fee) and Connie Hepner (Lehman) and the lady on the motor cycle is Jeanne Hepner.

The store fronts are where Cole Motors has its Main Street lot. (Ada Super Market is same building as Kohl's Market was in picture several weeks ago)

Who owns this black Mazda parked at the ONU Sports Center? Perhaps somebody who works at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon.
