Ohio Northern University students will be on spring break soon. After their return, the ONU Symphonic Band will present a spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 19, in The Freed Center. Dr. Charles Bates will conduct.
Junior Tia Harris (Newton Falls) broke a 10-year-old school record in the shot put and the 4x400-meter relay team shattered the school record to lead the Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier at the Sports Center.
No team scores were kept in the meet.
After narrowly missing the school record on multiple occasions this season, Harris' final toss of 41' 9.25" in the shot put at the Final Qualifier broke the school record.
Senior Alexander Sibila (Zionsville, Ind.) and Luke Bogdanovich (Akron/Coventry) highlighted the Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team as the Polar Bears competed in the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on Saturday afternoon at the Sports Center.

Bogdanovich and Sibila each posted third places finishes to lead the way for Northern.
Sibila finished third in the high jump with a leap of 6' 4", while Bogdanovich was third in the triple jump with a jump of 40' 5".
CHICAGO, Ill. — Ohio Northern senior Braden Kuhn (Tiffin/Columbian) finished 18th overall in the 3-meter diving event on Saturday afternoon at the 2018 NCAA Division III Central Regional Diving Championships on Saturday afternoon at the University of Chicago's Myers-McLoraine Pool.
The senior finished 18 of 24 divers in the event with 375.35 points.
Kuhn wrapped up his career with a solid effort in the 3-meter dive competition.
WESTMINSTER, Md. — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team dropped its first contest of the season at McDaniel (Md.) as it fell to the Green Terror 11-8 on Saturday afternoon to begin its 4-game road trip.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-1 on the season, while McDaniel moves to 2-2 overall.
Sophomores Cameron Marous (Brecksville) and Shane Olsen (White Bear Lake, Minn.) led the way for the Polar Bears with two goals each, while junior Anthony Pavone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) added a game-best two assists.
